Smartphone Pacifier

     Everywhere you go, you'll come across children with smartphones, tablets, and other gadgets that they hold on to so dearly. Lately in my house hold, my little sister, age five, has just gotten her new smartphone. She is only five years old mind you. Although my aim is not to target my parents or those who allow their kids to use these devices, I believe that this is used as a method to pacify them. Another blog was posted about how children were playing by a pool as their parents were not watching them. How about the kids not interacting with their families due to the distractions they now possess? Or the sheer fact that parents are not giving them the proper attention and just handing their children these smartphone pacifiers? Are they babysitters or convenien
